Wasp Words

The words that sting, like a wasp, don't even necessarily leave a mark, but their pain stays with you. And it hurts like the dickens!

Someone very special to me was called an "abomination" yesterday by a man who then invited her to his church. This sweet girl is a Christian and has clearly made some different decisions than the man who shared his judgement, but she made her decisions through prayer, in consultation with other Christians, and by seeking guidance from the Holy Word.

The details of this story don't matter. Who the girl is, who the man is, what denomination she is or he is, all irrelevant. Because we've all been there, unfortunately on both sides. We've all been that sweet girl, misunderstood and called names after trying so hard to make the right decision. We've all been that man, ignorant of our ignorance, hurtful in the name of some righteous calling.

The truth is, we are all sinners. In that sense, we are all abominations. We also are all God's children, all loved dearly by Him and all saved by Jesus's death on the Cross.

This morning, I want you to know that whether your decision was right or wrong, you're not an abomination.

You don't have to fret whether you made the right choice or not because He is still on the throne, He still loves you, and nothing you can ever do will change that.

Say Good-bye to your shame and Hello to His Grace.

You are loved by your Father in heaven and you are loved by me.

May God bless all of you. Be Son-Beams today!
